Supporting hope and life force energy

Starting therapy for the first time or deciding to work with a new therapist can be challenging. This investment into your mental health will be an opportunity to work together on becoming unstuck from patterns of the past that no longer serve you.

Therapy is by no means a quick fix. The path ahead may have many tricky corners, but being on this path myself, I hope to provide some guidance to you that will leave you feeling supported along the way and no longer alone.

My approach.

I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individuals, couples and groups, working under the supervision of Annabelle Safinia.

I am trained in somatic-based approaches such as the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Four Blinks Flash and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT). By using these modalities I focus on creating a safe atmosphere where you can explore and I can help you integrate mind, body, and soul.

My background and experience.

My clinical focus includes developmental trauma, C-PTSD, and substance use disorders. Individuals with complex trauma can often struggle with dissociation and have commonly experienced chronic attachment wounds. These injuries are pervasive, and clients report feeling an unshakeable despair deep within their bones from a chronic lack of feeling safe. Substance use often serves as a way to cope, whether that looks like porn, video games, alcohol, drugs, or food. Humans are intelligent and geared towards survival; we use these tools to help manage pain. My training in EMDR, TRM and Flash has expanded my knowledge of how to work with complex cases.

I have previously worked with adults who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in both residential and outpatient settings. I have a particular interest in working with individuals with video game addiction and am also passionate about integrating music and therapy.
